The role of educators in maintaining quality in face-to-face engagement with students is as important as ever.
The experiences students will have in education have always involved both their own motivation, imagination and ambition, and that of the educators supporting and guiding them through the courses. Educators might be encouraged these days to take a more "guide on the side" role, but students are still interested in personal relationships with lecturers and tutors.
This ambition to maintain a personal relationship between students and educators needs to remain central to education, even with, and in fact because of, the predominance of the digital space in education delivery. It is fundamental to what happens at Trinity College.
